General Education Assessment Program
Student Learning Outcomes
The general education requirements consist of the system-wide general education requirements (SGE) (30 credits) along with the institutional graduation requirements (IGR) (11 credits). Because of DSU’s specialized mission, the IGRs for all DSU degree programs include student learning outcomes linked to information technology.
The six public institutions in South Dakota share a common set of general education requirements, mandated by 
BOR Policy 2:7 Baccalaureate General Education Curriculum and BOR Policy 2:26 Associate Degree General Education Curriculum
