College Portrait
The College Portrait provides “consistent, comparable and transparent information on the undergraduate student experience to stakeholders.” The College Portrait, an outcome of the Voluntary System of Accountability (VSA), is a web template designed specifically to communicate the VSA accountability data to the public.
The College Portrait is five pages and organized into three primary sections:
- Consumer information: cost, degree offerings, living arrangements, student characteristics, graduation rates, transfer rates, and post-graduate plans
- Student experiences and perceptions: (institutions choose one of four surveys and report in six areas: DSU will use NSSE)
- Student learning outcomes: (requires evidence of student learning in two ways: description of how we evaluate student learning including links to institution-specific outcomes and report on gains in critical thinking and writing)
