Position Help Desk Tech
Number of Positions Available 1 Spring ONLY
Description of Duties Support normal Help Desk activities, set up new and refurbish current WMCI devices, clean projectors in classrooms, clean desktops in labs, install replacement desktops in labs, assist with installation of security cameras in the Library, East Hall, and Kennedy Center, various other computer/network support activities, support the distribution of WMCI devices to returning/new students/faculty/staff.
Skills/ Required Basic Troubleshooting Skills
Skills/ Preferred Hopefully the activities will bolster or reinforce skills from classroom assignments.  Teamwork and customer service will be a part of the day-to-day activity. Some experiences will be more hardware oriented than may be obtained in some classes. But some tasks may be somewhat menial.  We'll stress that the mix of tasks is necessary to provide technical support for campus.
Expected Working Hours Office hours
Pay Class/Wage Range III, $7.30 - $8.95
