| Description of Duties |
Students must have positive customer service skills and be attentive to detail. Students will assist DSU faculty/staff/students with computer/network/software problems. Much of the work will involve support of tablets and MacBooks at the Help Desk in Lowry Hall. Occasional desktop support will require a service call to offices in other campus buildings. Applicants should be familiar with Office, basic networking principles, software installation process and possess problem solving skills. Will install and repair components for tablets and desktop computers, ensure proper forms are completed when a device is assigned/returned/repaired, set up computers in labs and document activities as prescribed by the Supervisor. |
| Skills/ Required |
Students should be familiar with MS Windows, Apple OS, MS Office, various web browsers, and have an understanding of basic networking concepts. A positive, customer service attitude is required for these positions. Manual dexterity needed to operate small hand tools to effect tablet repair and should be able to lift 50 lbs. |
