Why take the Praxis Exams?
The teacher education program at Dakota State University requires all teacher candidates to successfully complete the Praxis I exam before admittance to the education program.
To receive certification / licensure in the state of South Dakota, teacher candidates are required to successfully complete the Praxis II content and pedagogy exams. Dakota State University requires passing scores for admittance to the Student Teaching block of the education programs.
Completion of the Praxis II Principles of Learning and Teaching exam is a graduation requirement at Dakota State University.
