Dakota State University and the Family Program Committee invite you to join us for DSU Family Days 2012, scheduled for Friday, September 14th and Saturday, September 15th!

 A: Follow-up session - Keith Bundy will be available to answer questions and talk more about the importance of parental support.

B: The Changing Parent/Student Relationship - Families test their knowledge about each other in a fun revealing look into the changing relationships encountered after the students have flown the coop. Families will compete in an exciting spin-off of the classic game-show "The Newlywed Game."

C: College Drinking - Come speak with a professional mental health counselors about the alcohol and drug trends of students at DSU and the resources available at DSU and the community. You will also learn facts about alcohol that may surprise you and the required Alcohol Edu online course is a huge part in education students as well as parents. This session will prepare parents and students to have open conversations about alcohol and healthy behaviors while starting a new journey at DSU!

D: Gaming Round Table - Come learn about video games and your student.

E: Study Abroad/National Exchange - What do Bill Clinton, Eleanor Roosevelt, JK Rowling, Matthew McConaughey, Ang Lee, Burt Bacharach, Princess Di and Jeremy Piven all have in common? They've all studied abroad and so can you! Learn about the Study Away opportunities at your finger tips. We have short-term, faculty-led programs to places like Panama, London, Paris and Rome; semester-long programs, academic year programs and even summer programs! Learn how a Study Away experience will enhance your Dakota State degree!

F: Athletic Round Table - Athletic staff and student athletes will provide information to parents of student athletes about how coaches, staff and upper-class athletes work around issues that students have encountered or may encounter when being an athlete at DSU.
