- Freshman Academic Scholarships – Scholarships for incoming freshman and special scholarships for incoming Madison High School graduates.
- Music Scholarships – Scholarships for students who participate in music programs at DSU as well as participating in music programs in High School.
- Outside Scholarships – Scholarships offered by companies outside of Dakota State University.
- Special Scholarships – Scholarships available to students who meet criteria established by scholarship donors (i.e. non-traditional student, hometown, diversity, etc.)
