Academic Honors for Part-Time Students

Policy

At the end of each fall and spring term, Dakota State University recognizes part-time undergraduate students who have earned at least a 3.50 system GPA in their coursework during that academic term.

Qualifications

To qualify for inclusion on the Academic Honors List for Part-Time Students, a DSU undergraduate part-time student must meet the following guidelines:

  1. Students must have completed at least 12 credit hours prior to the current semester at one or more Regental institutions.
  2. The student must have earned at least 3 and up to 11 credit hours of 100-699 level courses during the term.
  3. Students must achieve a System Term GPA of at least 3.50.
  4. Students with F, I, U, RI, or RU grades in the term are not eligible regardless of System Term GPA attained.

Procedures

The Enrollment Services Office will generate a list of students meeting the qualifications for inclusion on the Academic Honors List for Part-time Students at the end of the fall semester and again at the end of the spring semester. These lists will be furnished to the President's Office and letters of congratulations and certificates will be mailed to the qualified students.
