MSACS Program Requirements
The program requires 30 hours beyond the baccalaureate. All students must take the following:
- Five core courses (15 credit hours);
- A five-course sequence (15 credit hours) in a specialization. Specializations include CyberOperations, Software Development or a Customized specialization from the list of electives.
- A comprehensive exam is required of all students to graduate which covers core courses, this exam will be offered in the semester in which the student applies to graduate.
Students who do not have an undergraduate degree in computer science or closely related field may be required to take a knowledge course which will be added to the students plan of study.
It is possible to complete the program in four to five semesters of full-time study-depending upon how the basic knowledge requirements are met. On a part-time basis, the time to complete will depend upon the number of credit hours taken per semester.
MSACS courses are offered using a variety of delivery methods, including campus, teleconferencing, and Internet. Please see the program delivery section as this section provides more details.
