Dakota State University Names Women's Basketball Coach

Dakota State University announces the new head coach for the women's basketball program.

Joe Reints will begin his duties August 15th. He comes to DSU from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee, where he served as head coach of the Lady Eagles, an NAIA Division I school, for the past 3 years. The Lady Eagles earned the 2007 NAIA Division I National Championship. Coach Reints career record at Lambuth University is 69-33 and his team has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.03.

From 2003-2005, Joe served as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach for Texas State University. He has additional coaching experience with Mt. Marty College and Northern State University. A native of Willow Lake, South Dakota, Joe graduated from SDSU with a bachelor of science in history and from Northern State University with a master's in health, physical education, and coaching.

Reints is originally from Willow Lake, SD.

In addition to his coaching duties, Mr. Reints will serve as assistant to the athletic director.
