DSU Student Earns Delta Mu Delta Scholarship
Jessica Parsley has been award a $1,000 scholarship from the National Delta Mu Delta organization. Delta Mu Delta is a national honor society in the field of business administration. To be chosen as a member in Delta Mu Delta, a student must attain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have completed at least half of the courses needed to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Students enrolled in the business programs at schools where there is a chapter of Delta Mu Delta are eligible to compete in the Society's annual Scholarship Awards Program. For 2009 the Society presented 25 scholarships and up to 21 honorable mentions totaling $30,000 to outstanding business students across the country.
Parsley, a native of Adrian, MN, will be a senior business administration student in the College of Business and Information systems. She served as vice president of the Student Ambassadors, secretary of Delta Mu Delta, and an orientation leader for new students. She has been on the President's Academic Honors List for four consecutive semesters and is a member of three academic honor societies. While actively pursuing a degree, she is also working as a customer service representative at First Bank & Trust in Madison, SD.
