Dakota State Requesting Submissions for Mural
Dakota State University is requesting submissions from undergraduate or graduate students for a mural focusing on the theme of human performance. The mural will be the centerpiece for the newly designed Human Performance Laboratory on the DSU campus.
The paining style is open ended. The chosen space is a stucco wall measuring 21’ (W) by 5’ (H). The mural will require painting directly on the stucco wall surface. The winner of the completion will receive $300 plus expenses for approved supplies and travel.

Proposal Format
Please provide the DSU Human Performance Mural Committee with the following information:
• Proposed mural rendering (any media) on 11” x 17” format or digital jpg.
• A brief explanation of your concept
• Cost estimate of materials
• Statement indicating time frame necessary to complete the mural
Proposals Due
December 11, 2009 by Noon at Department of Exercise Science, School of Education, Dakota State University, 820 N. Washington Avenue, Madison, SD 57042. No late proposals will be accepted.
Committee Selection Date
December 15, 2009
Installation and Completion Dates
The mural must be completed prior to January 11, 2010.
Selection Criteria
Artistic quality and cost will be the major focus but not the sole criteria for selection.
The committee reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The budget for this project is flexible but limited.
