Dakota State University Hosts MWAIS Conference
Dakota State University (DSU) will host the Midwest Association for Information Systems (MWAIS) conference May 22-23. It is the 4th annual conference, and the first time it is being held on the DSU campus.
This years' conference theme is "Information Technology in the Services Industry" and will bring together academics and practitioners from the Midwest. The conference will feature panel discussions and keynote speakers.
The keynote speakers are Dr. Hesham H. Ali and Kevin DeWald. Dr. Ali is a professor of computer science and the Lee and William Seaman Distinguished Dean of the College of Information Science and Technology at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. DeWald has been the compliance officer for the Department of Health since 2003 and has played an active role in implementation and policy development for the privacy and security aspects of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rule.
