DSU Crowns Trojan Days Royaltyroyalty 09

Josh Thomas, a sophomore elementary education major from Brookings, and Tiffany Nelson, a senior elementary education/special education major from Arlington, were elected homecoming king and queen during the Trojan Days coronation ceremony Monday night at Dakota State University.

Thomas has been involved in Student Activities Board, intramurals and South Dakota Education Association-Student Program. He was nominated by the Student Activities Board. Nelson has been involved in Student Activities Board, InterVarsity, intramurals, and South Dakota Education Association-Student Program. She was nominated by SDEA.

The other homecoming king candidates were Sean Aman, networking and business administration, Watertown; Jordan Frisch, biology education, Norfolk, NE; Jordan Lindgren, digital arts and design, Clark; and Joel Maassen, forensic technology and physical science, Hull, IA.

The other homecoming queen candidates were Kayla Fiedler, elementary education/special education, Brookings; Kari Michel, elementary education, Dell Rapids; Sara Olson, exercise science, Hancock, MN; and Ashley Place, exercise science, Jackson, MN.

The royalty, selected by students, will preside over the Trojan Homecoming week activities and the parade and football game Saturday, Sept. 26.
