DSU Professor College Physical Education Teacher of the Year

Dakota State University professor Dr. Gale Wiedow has been named the 2009 College Physical Education Teacher of the Year by the South Dakota Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (SDAHPERD.) The award was presented at the SDAHPERD convention in Rapid City in early November.

Wiedow has been with the College of Education at Dakota State University since 2007. Prior to that, he served as the National Program Director for the National Youth Sports Program and as a professor at University of South Dakota. At DSU, Wiedow teaches courses ranging from basic health concepts to upper level classes in organization and administration of health, physical education and athletics.
