Trojan Cross County Teams Gain National Poll Recognition
The Dakota State University Trojan Men’s Cross Country team gained national recognition on the latest NAIA Cross Country Top 25 poll.
The Trojan men are ranked 19. They last appeared on the NAIA poll on September 30 when they were ranked 21. At their latest meet, the Briar Cliff Invitational, the Trojans took the team title with four of DSU’s runners placing in the top 10.
The Trojan women’s cross country team received votes in the weekly NAIA poll, and were placed in the 30th spot. The women finished third in the Briar Cliff Invitational.
Both the men and women’s cross country teams are ranked second in the latest Dakota Athletic Conference weekly rankings. Their next meet is October 24 in Yankton at the Mount Marty Invitational. The DAC Championship meet will be hosted by South Dakota School of Mines, November 6 in Rapid City.
