DSU presents musical story of Christmas Grinch
Dakota State University Choir presents a musical interpretation of the Dr. Seuss classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Sunday, December 12 at 4:30pm at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse.
The concert features university students performing music and drama, with displays of their art and creative writing, all inspired by the story of the Grinch.
DSU Choir Director Sandy Champion and fellow DSU faculty member Nathan Edwards contributed original arrangements of songs the choir will perform. "We are doing traditional choir music," says Champion, "some jazzy numbers, and contemporary pop." Champion says other characters from the Grinch story will appear, including the mayor of Whoville, acting as the story's narrator, and the Grinch himself.
The concert is free and open to the public.
