Molstad Gorder Named CTE Teacher of the Year
The South Dakota Association of Career Technical Education - Business/Marketing Division awarded the 2010 Career Technical Education (CTE) Teacher of the Year to Dr. Lynette Molstad Gorder on August 3 in Pierre at the CTE Conference.
The recipient of this award must have made significant contributions toward innovative, unique and novel programs that are serving to improve and promote career and technical education and be currently employed as full-time classroom/laboratory teacher. Contributions and achievements on which the nomination is based should have been made within the past ten years.
Dr. Molstad Gorder serves as the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Executive Secretary-Testing Director for South Dakota and has been in this position for 26 years. She currently serves on the CTE Business/Marketing/Finance Career Clusters Standards Committee responsible for writing standards to link what students learn in school with the knowledge and skills they need for success in college and careers. She is the supervisor for business, marketing, and computer education student teachers at Dakota State University who provide career technical education in secondary high schools.
This fall, Molstad Gorder will start her 30th year with Dakota State University.
