DSU PBL Students Place at National Conference

Dakota State University students attended the National Leadership Conference for Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) in Nashville Tennessee July 9-12, 2010.

The students participated in competitive events and attended workshops.   The conference included an opening session featuring Robin Crow, founder of Dark Horse Recording and author of Evolve or Die.  DSU students at the conference included Theodore Jackson, Michael Wilson, Alexz Metzinger, Suzanne Swett, and Jordan VanMaanen.

Participants must finish in the top ten of each event to place at the National competition.  The events included Accounting Principles, Cyber Security, Desktop Publishing and Public Speaking.  Wilson and VanMaanen placed 6th in Desktop Publishing.  Swett placed 10th in Public Speaking. 

The Dakota State group was sponsored by Prostrollo Motor Company and Great Western Bank in Madison.
