DSU sponsors Egypt study tour

Dakota State University is sponsoring a study tour to Egypt. The tour will depart December 27, 2010 and return January 8, 2011.  Members of the Madison community, along with students, staff and faculty from Dakota State are welcome to join the tour.

The group will visit Cairo and Alexandria.  Points of interest on the trip include the Pyramids, Al-Hussein Mosque, the Montaza Palace, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Cairo Tower, the Cairo Citadel, and the Egyptian Museum.  There will also be opportunities to visit an open market, cruise on the Nile River and take a camel ride. 

The approximate cost for the study tour is $2,900.  College credits are available with a focus on tourism in Egypt, technology in advertising, and the Egyptian economy and culture.  Visiting the homes of local Egyptians is also available.
