"Anatomy of Hate" Director Comes to DSU
The DSU Office of Diversity Services and campus diversity student organization, DSU2, are excited to welcome film director, Mike Ramsdell and his controversial documentary, "Anatomy of Hate: A Dialogue to Hope." The screening will be held on Tuesday, October 18th at 7 p.m. in the Science Center auditorium. The screening is free and open to the public.
The film reveals to the audience the narrative found in individual and collective ideologies of hate and how we can work together to overcome them. Ramsdell was able to spend six years documenting the White Supremacist movement, Christian Fundamentalism as an anti-gay platform, Muslim Extremism, the Palestinian Intifada, Israeli Settlers and Soldiers and US Forces in Iraq.
The film also features interviews from sociological, psychological and neurological experts, which reveals both the emotional and biological mechanisms that make all of us susceptible to acts and ideologies of hate.
