DSU Faculty present security work at DEFCON
Dr. Patrick Engebretson and Dr. Josh Pauli, faculty members in the Computer & Network Security program at Dakota State University, have been invited to present their work in penetration testing and ethical hacking at the annual DEF CON security conference in Las Vegas. The conference runs August 4-7, 2011.
Both Engebretson and Pauli teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to ethical hacking for Dakota State. There are currently over 200 students in the security programs at the university.
DEF CON is the world's premiere hacking conference with attendees expected to exceed 10,000 from not only government, academia, and private industry, but also the hacker underground community. Since 1993, DEF CON has been the premiere venue for researchers and hackers alike to present their technical security projects.
