Families Join Their Students at DSU
Madison, SD, September 7, 2011 - This weekend families of current Dakota State students will make their way to campus to find out a little more about life at the university. The DSU Family Program will be holding their Fourth Annual Family Day on Saturday, September 10th at the Madison campus.
Students and families will have the opportunity to participate in sessions throughout the day that showcase student organizations and technology integration at DSU. Participants will also be able tour campus through a scavenger hunt and attend the DSU Trojan football game against Doane College. Following the football game, families are invited to a jam session on the Trojan Center Lawn featuring DSU's own Sandy Champion, director of music programs and Nate Edwards, audio production instructor. The evening jam session is free and open to the public.
The DSU Family Program is committed to providing families opportunities and resources to learn more about Dakota State University, its programs and policies. Faculty and staff on the Family Program committee are dedicated to creating an environment for students, families, faculty and staff to communicate and cooperate with one another.
