DSU hosts Mixed Blood Theatre performance
The Dakota State University Office of Diversity Services is hosting Mixed Blood Theatre in a performance of Daughters of Africa on Tuesday, January 18, beginning at noon in the Trojan Center Underground on the campus of DSU. The event is free and open to the public.
Daughters of Africa is a music-driven history of African American women from slave ship survivors to stars of the silver screen. The forty-five minute performance vividly commemorates both the famous and the overlooked and is an eye-opening celebration of the triumph of pride, determination, and courage. This program is appropriate for audiences in 4th grade and up. Invitations have been extended to Madison elementary, middle and high schools.
