New faculty hires for fall 2011
Dakota State hired several new faculty for the 2011 academic year. The five new faculty are on campus to participate in orientation activities. The dorms open for students August 27, and classes begin at 4:00pm August 30.
Yen-Ling Chang, Assistant Professor of Finance, College of Business & Information Systems. Dr. Chang comes to DSU from Pacific Lutheran University when she taught finance courses. Yen-Ling received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington, M.S. from Iowa State University, Ames, M.B.A. and B.S. from National Cheng Chi University.
Carmela Lanza, Assistant Professor of English, College of Arts & Sciences. Dr. Lanza comes to DSU from the University of New Mexico where she was an English instructor. Carmela received her Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of New Mexico, and B.A. from Emmanuel College.
Carla Miller, Instructor of Special Education, College of Education. Ms. Miller is currently working on her Education Specialist degree. Carla received her M.A. from the University of South Dakota, B.S. from Northern State University and A.S. from Presentation College. She comes to DSU from the Center for Developmental Disabilities University Affiliated Programs at USD where she worked with the clinical evaluation time under the supervision of the Autism Coordinator.
Kyle Cronin, Instructor of Information Assurance, College of Business & Information Systems. Mr. Cronin is currently enrolled in the Information Assurance DSc program at Capitol College in Laurel, Maryland. He received his M.S. and B.S. from Dakota State University.
Colleen Ryan, English as a Second Language (ESL) Education Specialist. Ms. Ryan received her M.A. from Asbury University, and B.A. from Bellarmine University. She comes to DSU from Lebanon, KY where she was the ESL teacher for the Marion County School District.
