Pauli's Philanthropists of the Year
Wayne and Crystal Pauli of Madison are being honored as Philanthropists of the Year by the Dakota State University Foundation. As longtime donors to DSU, they pledged $150,000 to the DSU capital campaign. The Pauli's also serve as co-chairs of the faculty and staff campaign committee with Marlin and Linda Brozik. A portion of the donation has created the Pauli Family Endowment, which will award scholarships to undergraduate students majoring in Elementary Education/ Special Education from the College of Education and technology degrees from the College of BIS.
In making their campaign pledge, Wayne and Crystal acknowledged the role Dakota State has played in their lives. "Once we consider the positive impact that Dakota State University has on the lives of our family, donating time, talent, and treasure comes naturally and easily to us," says Wayne.
Wayne, daughter Tara, and sons Jeremy and Josh have graduate degrees from DSU. "When our children were college students, total strangers helped them accomplish their educational goals through scholarships," said Crystal. "Now it is our turn to help deserving students."
Natives of Winner, SD, and both being 1973 graduates of Winner High School, Wayne and Crystal began their faculty duties in August 2001 with Crystal working in the College of Education and Wayne in the College of Business Information Systems.
