Unlimited Possibilities earns gold ADDY and best of class awards
Unlimited Possibilities (UP), DSU’s student ran advertising agency, was recently awarded a gold ADDY and Best of Class awards at the 43rd South Dakota Advertising Federation’s (SDAF) annual ADDY award show.
DSU digital arts and design students, Megan Pifer and Lacey Roth, along with UP’s faculty advisor and professor of digital arts and design, Linn Nelson, were awarded for their work on the Smith-Zimmermann Museum’s 50th Anniversary publication material. The agency is a student organization under the College of Arts and Sciences at Dakota State.
There were over 500 entries in the state ADDY awards and only 5 of the over 30 ADDY winners received Best of Class awards which included UP’s entry. A student gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged superior to all other student entries in the competition. Their entry will also go on to the 8th district competition which is made up of Advertising Clubs throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. District winners will then move onto the national competition.
The ADDY Awards is the world’s largest advertising competition with over 50,000 entries annually. Founded in Florida in 1960, it was adopted by the America Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association, as a national competition in 1968. The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world.
