Art program plans travels to Europe

A short-term faculty-led program will be taking off to Europe again in the spring of 2013. Students, faculty, staff and anyone who has interest in the art of cities like Paris, Florence, Assisi and Rome are welcome to attend an information session on the trip Thursday, April 19th at 7 p.m. in the Karl E. Mundt Library and Learning Commons.

This faculty-led program offers DSU students the opportunity to satisfy three credits of electives and substitute for ARTH 212 part of the Art Minor--an amazing chance to earn academic credit and having a life-changing experience! Anyone can join the tour, but they must be registered for credits.

The program highlights the art and architecture of Paris, Florence, Assisi and Rome.  There will also be the option to travel to the south of France which includes the city of Arles where Vincent Van Gogh’s and Paul Cezanne’s studios were located. DSU professor, Alan Montgomery, has led the program for three years and will again for the 2013 program.
