A Presentation of “A Christmas Carol”

The perfect way to get you and your family into the Holiday spirit is to attend a riveting performance of Dickens’s "A Christmas Carol".

The Dakota State University Theatre Company and Madison community members’ performance of this classic will ensure you will be in the holiday spirit by the time you exit the doors of the Dakota Prairie Playhouse in Madison, S.D.

We are all familiar with the story of the bitter and miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. His moral and emotional transformation after the supernatural visits of Jacob Marley and the three Ghosts of Christmas is brought to life by the talented cast and crew of over 50+ DSU and Madison community members, including 20+ children from Madison elementary, middle and high schools.

Five performances are available for you to attend; Nov. 29 and 30, at 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 1, at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Dec. 2, at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and $5 for ages 12 and under, or $8 per person for groups of 10 or more. The show will run for about an hour and 20 minutes, with no intermission. The DSU drama club will have concessions available at the beginning and end of the show.

Please call 256-5666 to reserve tickets between 10:00 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Leave a message with your name, phone number, and number of seats needed. You can pick up and pay for your tickets the night of the show. If you wish to pick up tickets before opening night, please leave that in your message, as well.

Dakota Prairie Playhouse is located north of the Dakota State University campus at 820 N. Washington Ave, in Madison, S.D.
