Pauli and Engebretson noted in Fast Company magazine
Dr. Josh Pauli and Dr. Patrick Engebretson were recently mentioned in the October issue of Fast Company magazine in an article entitled “The NSA Wants Hackers, and It Wants Them On Its Side” by Neal Ungerleider.
The article talks about how the National Security Agency (NSA) is actively looking for hackers to work for them. Many experts say that the U.S. is still in a vulnerable position in regards to cyberattacks, but the NSA is now taking a more proactive approach through its designation of four universities, including DSU, that are launching cyber-operations curricula to fast-track students. Those students then land security jobs for the federal government.
Pauli, DSU associate professor of information assurance, is quoted in the article which also includes a sampling of texts being used by the universities participating in the NSA program. The list includes Engebretson’s book, “Basics of Hacking and Penetration Testing.” Engebretson is an assistant professor of information assurance in the College of Business and Information Systems at Dakota State.
