Poetry Slam Results

Winners of the DSU Poetry Slam:

1^st Place: Jake Ritzman

2^nd Place: Juan Valdez

3^rd Place: Colin Van Plathe

It was a successful event with over fifty students in the audience and fourteen competitors in the slam. Guest visiting slam poet, Tsion the Wordsmith performed his poetry and spent time talking to our students about various issues including domestic violence, intolerance, and personal growth. DSU student, Bryan Muller, was the host of the slam and kept the energy going with his jokes and commentary. We would like to acknowledge the College of Arts Sciences, DSU English Club, DSU Live, and the DSU Office of Diversity Services.
