Dakota State University to host SDCAA Conference


Dakota State University will host the South Dakota College Art Association (SDCAA) conference October 24-25, in Madison, S.D. The SDCAA is a consortium of the state’s university and college art faculty, encompassing the fields of studio art, art history, art education and graphic design.

A reception for the faculty art exhibition will take place at the First Bank & Trust Gallery, located in the DSU Mundt Library, on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 3:00 p.m.

Distinguished professor of art history, Henry M. Sayre, will give the keynote speech 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, in the Tunheim Classroom Building on the DSU campus. Dr. Sayre is the author of “A World of Art,” now in its seventh edition. The title of Dr. Sayre’s keynote is “Art History’s Time: The Book, the Slide, and the Digital Future.”
