Health EDventure receives SDACTE awardJulia-Miller.jpg

Health EDventure team members, Julia Miller and Stephanie Terwilliger, accepted the South Dakota Friend of CTE (Career and Technical Education) Award from the South Dakota Association for CTE (SDACTE) at their annual awards banquet held last month in Mitchell, S.D.

The SDACTE provides leadership and assistance to educators in developing a prepared and competitive workforce. The South Dakota Friend of CTE award is designed to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of persons, businesses and organizations who have been identified with the work and purposes of the SDACTE. The award is a way that the South Dakota Association provides recognition for the commitment and dedication to career and technical education.

“This honor was well deserved by Julia, Stephanie, and the rest of the Health EDventure team. They have worked diligently thru the years to provide high quality materials to help teachers meet standards in the classroom. We are looking forward to continual improvement of the programs like this year’s addition of Common Core standards. In my opinion, this award speaks to the team’s commitment to education,” said HealthPOINT director, Dan Friedrich.
