Meal Plans

DSU Dining Services provides a la carte options in all facilities to provide the most freedom for our customers; you choose what you want, when you want! All meal plans are declining balance dollars that support the a la carte program. We have four plans to choose from (some restrictions apply). All you have to do is determine the amount you need per semester.

First semester freshman: can choose between the Big Dakota and Blue & Gold

Trojan Advanced: available to third year+ residents

Please note that the meal plans are designed for the average college student who dines on campus 2 meals a day and 5 days a week. If your student consumes more than 2 meals a day on campus, additional funds in the form of DSU Dining Dollars is recommended.

Commuter students may purchase any meal plan or purchase desired amount in Dining Dollars

What are the plans?

Declining Balance Plan

This plan offers you a broad range of declining balance options – you choose the amount! Simply open a declining balance account with as little as $25. (Average buying habits suggest a minimum of $200.)

We'll give you a 10% bonus for any plan over $200!

For example, you select a $300 plan; we'll give you $330!

Why should I sign up?

Convenience – eat at any Dining Service location on campus – including the Marketplace, Java City, Bits 'n Bytes C-Store, Concessions and select vending machines.
Flexibility – eat what, where and when you want to
Security – never have to worry about carrying cash or checks
Choices – a wide variety of menu choices
Running low on current meal plan

Where can I use these plans?

Declining Balance Dollars can be used at the Marketplace, Java City and C-store all located in the Trojan Center. Also at all DSU Concessions and select vending machines.

How do I sign up?

Choose an amount that best suits your lifestyle. Sign up in the Student Affairs Center or to sign up online.
