My name is Keith Bundy and this is my guide dog, Brandon. I was born and raised in southern Indiana and received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Evansville in 1978. I received a master's degree in student development from Indiana State University in 1980. After working for four years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, I entered pastoral ministry with the Church of the Nazarene and received a bachelor's degree in philosophy and religion from Indiana Wesleyan university in 1986.
I pastored the Olive branch Church of the Nazarene in northeastern Indiana for four years and moved to Madison, SD, in 1989, becoming the pastor at the Madison Church of the Nazarene. I still pastor this church. In 1993 I became a braillist at Chester High School. In 1997 I became a computer instructor at the South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind, a division of South Dakota Service to the Blind and Visually Impaired. I was employed as an instructor and team leader at the Rehabilitation Center until August, 2000, when I became Director of Student Development at Dakota State University.
I am married to the real Peg Bundy, and have four sons ages 15-23. I am co-President of the South Dakota Association of the Blind and a member of the American Council of the Blind. I also do training in assistive technology for the blind in my spare time with a company known as Dakotalink. I work with DSU students to make sure they submit the proper documentation of their disability so that they get the academic accommodations they need.
