DSU names Friedel and Heesch Trojan Days Queen and King

Dakota State University held coronation on Monday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse in Madison, S.D. Dressed in their 80’s best, Sarah Friedel, a biology major from Sioux Falls, S.D., and Shiloh Heesch, an exercise science major from New Effington, S.D., were named 2015 homecoming royalty.

King Shiloh and queen SarahThe homecoming court consisted of king candidates: Garrison Collier, a cyber operations major from Janesville, Calif.; Darian DeVries, a Digital Arts and Design major from Sioux Falls, S.D.; Josh Rundell a network and security administration major from Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Jon Forster, a network and security administration major from Salem, S.D. Queen candidates for Trojan Days: Sadie Hagemeyer, a Digital Arts and Design major from Garretson, S.D.; Amanda Larson, an elementary education/special education major from Hayti, S.D.; Carissa Lewis, a elementary education major from Jordan, Minn.; and Morgan Zwinger an elementary education/special education major from Parkston, S.D. The candidates were nominated by their clubs and organizations and then voted on by students, faculty and staff.
