DSU’s 2016 student employee of the year winners announced

April 21, 2016

Dakota State University held its annual Honors Banquet on Tuesday, April 12, at Dakota Prairie Playhouse in Madison, S.D. During the event, the DSU on-campus and off-campus Student Employee of the Year winners were announced.

Two students, Morgan Forsch and Caralyn Raethz, were nominated for the off-campus Student Employee of the Year award from FirstLine Funding Group in Madison, S.D.

This year’s on-campus Student Employee of the Year was awarded to Taylor Lynde, a business management major from Britton, S.D.  Her nomination came from her work at the Trojan Center Bookstore. As the on-campus winner, Lynde’s name was submitted to the Midwest Association of Student Employee Administrators (MASEA), for consideration for state, regional and national award opportunities. Lynde was selected as the winner for the state competition for South Dakota. Her nomination letter will now move on to the regional and national competitions.

Each student received a certificate and monetary award in recognition of their achievement.
