Preparation + opportunity = success

That's the DSU equation. We're a four-year university with nationally recognized programs, cutting-edge facilities, and the brightest thinkers. But we're also a tight-knit, inclusive community. Small class sizes mean hands-on training and individualized attention. All this with an affordable, public school price that's among the best values in the region.

National Health IT Week

October 5, 2015

Many of us may have encountered a medical situation where a family member or loved one’s life was saved by early detection, new drugs, or a new procedure. Contrary to these more obvious technological medical advances, health IT is quietly advancing medicine. Health IT—specifically electronic health records (EHRs)--improve the quality of healthcare delivery, increase patient safety, decrease medical errors, and strengthen the interaction between patients and healthcare providers.

National Health IT Week is a collaborative forum and virtual awareness week that assembles key healthcare constituents dedicated to working together to elevate the necessity of advancing health through the best use of information technology.

Dakota State University is proud to be a University Partner with Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) in celebrating National Health IT Week.  Dakota State University offers various undergraduate and graduate degrees and workforce training in health informatics and health information management, which integrate the latest in technology. Students receive a solid education plus the tech-knowledge to keep them competitive in the healthcare field. All of these programs have outstanding career placement and are available online.
