How to Apply

We strive to make the application process as simple as possible but if at any point you find the process confusing or have questions, we’d be more than happy to walk you through it.

Admission deadlines

Don’t forget these important admission application dates. Please note: All deadlines are by 11:59 pm in the time zone from which you are submitting the application.

  • June 15 – application deadline for the Fall semester (classes begin in August)
  • November 15  application deadline for the Spring semester (classes begin in January).

Application process

Complete the following steps to apply to DSU as an international undergraduate student:

  1.  Complete the online application
    • Pay your $20 application fee.
  2. Submit the following pieces of documentation in the application portal (after submitting your application): 
    • Unofficial high school transcript or evaluation from WES or ECE of your high school completion
    • Your official proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, WAEC, PTE Academic, or ACT/SAT sub-scores). DSU reserves the right to request an official score report. All Duolingo scores must be sent directly to DSU from the test provider.
    • Your Certificate of Financial Responsibility (PDF) and bank statements
      (Please note that federal government regulations require potential students to provide evidence that they have the ability to cover expenses for one academic year).
    • A copy of your passport
  3. Request official academic transcripts, certificates, and diplomas in English (including secondary and post-secondary) to be sent to DSU.
    • Official transcripts can be emailed to the International Office or mailed to:

  4. Official SAT/ACT score reports may be required for DSU scholarship eligibility considerations. SAT/ACT scores are not required for admission. 

To avoid any admission delays, please upload all of your documents in the application portal at one time.

Immunization forms for International Students do not need to be submitted until a VISA for DSU is acquired.
